Charity Paintings

 
It must be most wildlife artists' dreams to live in a world free of poaching, cruelty, pollution etc but this is of course unlikely to ever be the case.  But we all do our bit for this fragile planet of ours and I am no exception.   Raising funds for worthy causes has been, and will always be, a chief part of my work.  Here are some the paintings I have donated to various charities.
 
BORN FREE?
This painting was donated in full to the Born Free Foundation for auction at their summer gala on 15th June. It depicts a lioness and one of 13 cubs from the Okavango Delta in Botswana. I am delighted to say that it raised £4,000 at the auction and...

Photo taken on the night of the auction at which I raised £10,800 for the Tusk Trust. This painting, Keeper of the Kingdom, shows an elephant bull at Mombo camp in Botswana.
KEEPER OF THE KINGDOM
This elephant painting was donated in its entirity to the Tusk Trust to raise funds for their conservation projects in Africa. On the night of a charity auction, the painting raised £8000.
Baby Silverback gorilla
This was the other painting which helped to raise £10,800 for the Tusk Trust.
In Safe Hands
This is a painting of the cheetahs I made friends with at the Africat Foundation in Namibia. I donated this painting to the Foundation together with full copyright.
At Institute of Directors Annual Dinner, London
Photo of me just before the auction for charity of a white table cloth on which I and other artists, including Rolf Harris, made an original drawing with marker pens! The cloth was sold for £3000 if I remember correctly.
