Cool Waters
A very graphic image of three zebras at one of the waterholes in Etosha. I was attracted by the bold composition with the stripes and the water with little else.
Flies
This guy was sitting in a puddle in the middle of Nakuru National Park in Kenya. Covered in flies!
Etosha Salt Pan
I've painted many scenes of this wonderful park. But for some strange reason the most appealing part of this scene for me are the three vultures. They were put in almost as an after-thought but help the composition.
Freedom
There is a teriffic sense of freedom watching giraffe as they gallop like this across the vast plains. It is appealing to paint the little tufts of dust as they run, indicating where thay have just been, and helping create the illusion of movement....
